50% women on interdisciplinary IT-educations

The University of Copenhagen has succeeded in attracting 50% women for the interdisciplinary IT-educations. This is unique for IT-educations, which traditionally have a greater appeal to the male sex than to the female. Mentioned in TV2 News, where vice-dean Henrik Busch from the Faculty of Sciences is interviewed.

From September 1st, the following interdisciplinary IT-students have started their studies:
IT and health: 50 (of which 23 are women)
Communication and IT: 38 (of which 21 are women)
Science and IT: 21 (of which 10 is women)

159 computer science students, of which 10% are women, have also started their studies September 1st.
